My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The location was not ideal, being right outside the ghetto of New Haven, but the wooded and green surroundings were pleasant. The room left a lot to be desired, with a dark and unclean atmosphere resembling a cage. Service was mixed, with rude and uninterested staff but also some cheerful and helpful encounters. The dining options were disappointing, offering only coffee and old donuts.

The room I stayed in was terrible - not clean, cold, and felt like a prison cell. The darkness actually helped hide how bad it was, especially since it was a 'smoking' room.

I had a terrible experience at this hotel. The place looked like a dump, with smoke everywhere even though I requested a non-smoking room. The area was full of scary homeless people, definitely not a safe place to stay at all.
